
As part of the celebration of the 87th anniversary of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC has introduced the ‘Beautiful, Bold, Ugly and Maverick’ (BBUM) Show which seeks to interview 13 great media personalities who have become heroes in journalism to share their beautiful and maverick stories with the world.
The maiden edition took place at the studios of GBC with hosts being Award-wining Broadcast journalist, Thelma Tackie and Kafui Dey, a former host of “Who Wants To Be Rich?” and a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
They both double as hosts on the GTV Breakfast Show which is the Prime Time show on one of GBC’s channels and airs from 5:55 am to 10 am daily.

The ‘BBUM Show‘ seeks to unveil how some selected media ‘generals’ rose through the ranks to where they are now without fear. They will share their experiences in order to educate and encourage upcoming young media professionals.
The show is going to be aired for 13 weeks with 13 different personalities in the media space on Sundays at exactly 8:30 pm only on GTV. It promises to be (BBUM), Beautiful, Bold, Ugly, and Maverick.
Kwesi Pratt Jnr, a Ghanaian journalist and managing editor of the Insight Newspaper and the owner of Pan African Television Network in Ghana is the first guest to grace the BBUM show.
